“How to catch a lizard and why we want to” by Anna Thonis of the Dept of Ecology and Evolution of Stony Brook University. What are lizards? Why are they important? And, most importantly to me, how do we protect them? There are nearly 5,000 species of lizard in the world, but when it comes to conservation sometimes they get left in the dust. If this intrigues you, come learn about why lizards rock and some of the ways that we approach lizard conservation in hopes of protecting our scalier friends.
Festivities start at 700 pm, lecture starts 800 pm.
